Outstanding! So very well said. Here’s wishing your daughter much success in whichever directions she chooses.

FWIW, my semester grade in Algebra was a “D” at age 15. Later got a math degree from a top-tier university, then taught/authored about advanced math use cases in data analytics — driven by memories of how utterly awful the “Educational” experiences had been. It’s important to help others get past those traps.

Oddly enough, the only math education that I’ve admired was at a military school (based on École Polytechnique) where students took turns giving mini-lectures and received personal grades for how well their peers scored on quizzes afterwards. There’s so much room for socializing this kind of learning, with peer support — in lieu of rehashing the 18th century.
